Paula Hian shot her Fall 2015 Collection in NYC with photographer Julian Le Ballister. For the shoot, a set was designed to be completely covered by plexiglass mirrors.
Model Egle Tvirbutaite from Next Models spent all day wearing various looks from the new collection. The plexiglass mirrors allowed the photographer to get multiple angles of the pieces in one single shot & allowed him to play with the light from the flash to create unique images. See polaroids of Egle below!
On the set with Paula Hian were two interns Gavin Lindemuth and Becca Applegate. Both interns have been with Paula since the beginning of the year. Read more below to get a glimpse of their experience.
When we were asked to help at Paula’s Fall 2015 photoshoot in New York I was ecstatic. I knew I wanted to be there an help in anyway that I could. When we walked into the studio and saw the set I was in shock! It was this amazing fixture made up of mirrors. We were quickly introduced to everyone and than they started on the shoot. It was so much fun to see it all come together. From the styling to the hair and makeup- everything was on point. Getting to be apart of such a fun day was one of the best experiences of my internship. Seeing it all come together and knowing that I was there to help with the process made my whole time at Paula Hian Designs worthwhile.
I was so excited as I entered the studio for Paula Hian’s Fall 2015 shoot. For many weeks, the shoot had been being planned and discussions of the fun ideas. It was amazing to see what Paula’s team had built themselves. A massive wooden stage had been transformed into one huge mirror that you could see yourself at every angle. On set, we got to watch all the hair, makeup, and styling take place. It was great to see all the hard work pay off and the incredible photos in the end.
