What fashion accessory could be more French than a scarf? French women have mastered the art of wearing a scarf with that je ne sais pas quoi. “When in Paris, my eye is often drawn to the elegant way a scarf defines a person’s sense of self and style,” shares Paula Hian.

Paula Hian is a unique and bold standout in the luxury designer section of the King of Prussia Mall.

Aside from her visionary designs, Paula Hian is a philanthropic soul who generously gives back to the community, which includes being a long time partner with Susan G. Komen – Philadelphia, a non-profit organization devoted to fighting breast cancer.

Komen’s renowned board members were circulating the fundraiser, spreading awareness about the importance of early detection and research funding. Among them were Natasha Brown, reporter for CBS/The CW Philly and a member of the Komen Philadelphia family, and experts Dr. Monique Gary, DO, FACS from Grand View Health and Dr. Jamie Wells, MD, FAAP from the American Council on Science and Health.

As we bid adieu to the last waves of summer, we look to the fall for exciting change.  Paula Hall Designs Fall/Winter 2017 collection embraces the new season with feminine ruffles, bias plaids, asymmetrical hemlines and golden brocades. Bold colors lend an almost regal appearance and include geranium red, teal, violet, anthracite, olive, and metallic gold with black accents.

This diverse lineup, including suits, blazers, skirts, pants, dresses and evening gowns, is as beautiful as it is functional, and will take you from day to night.

Riva Jacket and Adalicia Skirt

The new styles are structured, yet maintain the fluidity of movement and are detailed in a clean, modern and flattering way. The Riva Jacket paired with the Adalicia skirt (above) is just one example of this new sophistication. Wear together as shown, or pair the jacket with black pants or leggings.  You can also mix the black ruffle silk Justyne blouse with the Adalacia skirt.

King of Prussia Mall Here We Come

Hello,

I am so excited to announce that we are less than one month away to opening the doors to our very first Paula Hian pop up shop! This has been in the works for quite some time now and I am thrilled to finally share this news with you!!

I wanted to make sure that the space we chose would be the perfect fit to what the Paula Hian brand has always been: daywear to evening wear for women with their own unique sense of style. That being said, it took looking at endless spaces to finally find the right one that best fit the aesthetic.

I also wanted it to feel personal and personalized to each customer; to make you feel like you are at home in your very own personal dressing room but at the same time feel like you are being pampered. I feel that this space will do exactly that in its unique design.

Inside the store, you will find a little bit of everything from each of my favorite collections… plus a few new surprises.

I feel like everything is coming together exactly as I imagined and even though there is still so much more work to do, I couldn’t be more pleased and sincerely hope that you will love it as much as I do!

Find us in the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, PA starting November 10th from 10am-9pm, Monday – Saturday and 11am-6pm Sundays. We will be easy to access in the former Hermès boutique on the ground floor next to the Neiman Marcus cosmetics department.

Ok, that is all for now! More updates to come as we get closer to opening.

XOXO

Which has been your favorite collection to design ever?

I think Spring 2017 would have to be my favorite! As an entire collection. Certain pieces from Fall 2017 are my favorites.

What is your favorite piece from Spring/Summer 2017?

The Aubrey gown.

Is there a specific time of year and country/city/place that inspires your collections?

It seems to hit when it hits – but always in Paris!

How do you come up with themes and ideas for your designs?

They just come to me. It has always been like this and then evolves as what feels right for the season. As artists we don’t know where it arrives from!

Do you wear your own designs? Which is your favorite piece to wear?

Yes! Always. I think is either the Gallia top, Ophelia dress, or the Gemma leather jacket and Solange top – hard to decide which is my favorite to wear.

What advice do you have for other aspiring designers?

Stay true to yourself. You have to fight every day!!

So what is your favorite drink at Starbucks??

Frappuccino light café vanilla (vanilla w/ coffee in it). I get it in Starbucks France. They even know me when they see me on the highway and just get my drink ready (en francais!)
